EXPLORATORIUM Shepard tone scale, aural illusion that it's a constantly rising scale (you're actually hearing three tones together, which is why it seems to go up and up and up)
EXPERIENCE MUSIC is a museum that's all about music...here, in the guitar gallery, you can hear the sound of different guitars, select one, hear a tune or explore how it sounds in recordings....sound is integral to this site
As it is to the BBC's LEARN ENGLISH....here, you can listen to a current news story, read the transcript, and study the meanings of individual words. Great use of sound....and
